Fascinating sound stories with intimate, surprising, and captivating voice and soundscapes. This internationally celebrated quartet, featuring a Finn, an Italian, and two Swiss, brings good vibes, a joy for playing, and top-notch listening pleasure to Nica. Each of these musicians not only has their own signature style but is also at home in their own musical realm. Between jazz and world music, the four gentlemen effortlessly play their way into the ears of their audience. Sparkling, fresh, new, yet somehow familiar. The program is poetic when Biondini serves up jazzy Italian flair, cool and rough, on the other hand, when Kalima switches on his electronically altered sounds – between these worlds, the four generate a powerful energy. The magazine Jazzthetik raves: 'The highlight of the evening was the band A Novel of Anomaly. The musicians turned into poets, and unique soundscapes and expressive solos ran through the night. It was like flying between musical worlds, and the audience simply didn’t want the band to leave.'
