This young exceptional talent manages to fascinatingly combine contemporary music, modern jazz, funk, hip-hop, and rock. The young Australian guitarist Josh Meader interweaves the tradition of fusion jazz with rock and drum'n'bass rhythms in his songs in an enormously powerful way. Last year he made his debut in Germany - and here at Nica. And he completely blew us away. The musician from Sydney is currently one of the greatest talents on the guitar and has a foreseeably steep career ahead of him. With his Josh Meader Trio, he forms an instrumental, cross-genre powerhouse. With a wide range of styles, the trio succeeds in combining contemporary music, modern jazz, funk, hip-hop and rock. The three musicians are inspired by artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, Robert Glasper, Hiatus Kaiyote and Pat Metheny. In 2022, they played at the renowned jam of the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and were frenetically celebrated. Josh Meader and his bandmates have released his debut album "Tides of Time", which he will present again this year with a few, selected concerts on his European tour at the Nica Jazz Club. We are huge fans of Josh and his band!
