Awarded Best Band at the 30th International Blues Competition 2025 in Memphis, this band plays authentic funk, soul, and blues. At their concerts, Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal deliver truly authentic music night after night. This band is a real "working band": you can hear the sincerity in Hoyer's voice. You hear a guitar amp being pushed to its limits. You hear the keyboards carrying the notes while bold horn players float over a rhythm section that’s like a freight train. The raw funk and genuine soul coming from this band pay devoted tribute to the soul, classic, and R&B giants of the past, while also charging forward into a new era. What Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal bring to the stage is true, authentic soul music for real fans of the genre.
