A high-energy evening with a magnificent Billie Eilish program. With its program, the Hamburg Art Ensemble is dedicated to one of the most impressive phenomena of contemporary music: Billie Eilish. Last December, this band totally blew us away with their brand-new program at the time. We want more of it! The musicians transfer the fragile intimacy, dark sound aesthetics and emotional density of their songs into an original jazz setting – beyond genre boundaries, but with deep respect for the original works. The extraordinary ensemble invites you to listen to Billie Eilish's songs anew - as a finely woven mixture of improvisation, chamber jazz and modern pop texture. The Hamburg Art Ensemble stands for musical curiosity, stylistic openness and programs that you don't necessarily see coming. With annually changing line-ups and new concepts, concert evenings are created between art, kitsch and skill - always with high standards, but without fear of contact. The HAE was founded in 2022 by Leon Saleh and Hauke Renken to show: Jazz can be anything - but it doesn't have to be.
