He’s presenting his new album 'And Then We Kiss...' - Broadway repertoire, Great American Songbook, and classic pop. Nearly two decades on from his debut album, British singer and pianist Anthony Strong returns with And Then We Kiss..., a timeless celebration of love that pairs his long-standing quartet with a full string orchestra. Drawing on repertoire from Broadway, the Great American Songbook and classic pop, the concert brings together standards that have long shaped the language of jazz. Of course, there’s plenty of romance nestled inside this music, but it shines a light on the quirky, cute, innocent and forbidden aspects of love too. Anthony is best known for his high-energy, hard-swinging performances, which have taken him to clubs and festivals across North America, Europe and Asia over the past 18 years. On his new album itself, there’s virtuosic music, thrilling solos, and orchestrations, but at its core, 'And Then We Kiss...' is an album for romantics – for lovers, for those searching for love, or for those who recognize it in a great song. Unlike on the album, Anthony Strong will present his new music not with an orchestra, but with his excellently assembled trio.
