Dnipro Opera live in Cadogan Hall, London
Ukrainian National Opera presents one of the world’s most beloved operas, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. A stunning semi-staged production by Ukraine’s Dnipro Opera, Puccini’s masterpiece is a timeless story of love, devotion and sacrifice. Set in Japan at the turn of the 20th century, the opera follows Cio-Cio-San, a young geisha who gives up everything for love. Her marriage to the American naval officer Pinkerton offers dreams of happiness and a new future, but her unwavering faith and devotion lead to one of opera’s most heartbreaking conclusions.
